Brooks Toon Shader


For the Brooks Hyperion Elite and Tempo running shoe spots we wanted to go with a hand drawn, cel-shaded style. I leveraged the sketch and toon shader kit inside of Cinema 4d to create these NPR shaders based on our concept artists hand done drawings. This shader features procedural noise based displacement and wiggle. The gradation in the lighting is sampled directly from the concept art to reproduce the texture as close as possible.

To finish off the look, the project was animated and rendered on 2’s for that authentic hand made look.
